The History Dr is proud to announce the astute winner of our first U.S. Constitution Quiz and Contest that was announced before Thanksgiving. The Constitution has seven articles and a Bill of Rights, which Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton, among other founding fathers, disputed for years.

That debate is alive and well.

Although many people are quite familiar with the amendments, particularly the First and Second Amendments, the right to free expression and right to bear arms respectively, the seven articles are not as well known. Here are the answers for the quiz, along with the original questions.

All the questions on the quiz were taken from my lesson plan and bingo game for grades 8 to 12th. Try it with your family or friends–I guarantee you will find it challenging. A great exercise for aspiring lawyers and also for American citizens or others who want to understand more about the nation’s greatest legal document.
